As part of the series of conferences of the Higher Institute of Transport of the Supdeco Dakar Group (IST), “The Carrefours du Transport et de la Logistique”, an important conference was organized on Friday 05 May 2023, around the theme: “Oil and Gas in Senegal: What prospects for the national private sector? Moderated by Mr. Mor Ndiaye Mbaye Technical Secretariat of the National Committee for Local Content Monitoring (ST-CNSCL).

According to Mr Mbaye, “the CNSCL is the focal point for an effective and efficient implementation of the local content policy developed by the State of Senegal, which aims to achieve 50% local content by 2030. It develops binding guidelines on local content, including but not limited to local jobs, use of local goods and services, local capital, transfer of technology and know-how.

The CNSCL shall ensure compliance with all the measures to which undertakings directly or indirectly involved in the hydrocarbons sector are subject.” In addition, Mor Ndiaye Mbaye said that “the conference of the day allows to share the opportunities offered by oil and gas, especially in terms of Local Content, with young people in training, future high-level managers”.

The conference was enriched by the relevant contributions of students, actors and managers.
