After several weeks of enriching activities, meetings, and experiences, the Groupe Supdeco Dakar celebrated the closing ceremony of “Octobre Fondateur” on Friday, October 30, 2026, in the presence of its students, staff, and management teams.
Much more than an integration program, Octobre Fondateur has been a true immersion into the Supdeco universe, with a single ambition: to accompany new students in their first steps in higher education, promote their personal fulfillment, and transmit the values that form the foundation of the institution’s identity.
A month to learn, discover, and build connections
Throughout the month of October, new students took part in various activities blending learning, discovery, cultural openness, and civic engagement.
From discussions with institution leaders and meetings with alumni, to public speaking workshops, interculturality activities, cultural visits, and community service initiatives, every event contributed to enriching their experience.
These moments allowed them to better understand their academic environment, develop new skills, meet their peers, and begin building their place within the Supdeco community.
Students at the heart of the closing ceremony
The closing ceremony was an opportunity to look back at the highlights of this edition, as well as to give students a voice.
Through presentations of the results of their various challenges and feedback on completed activities, they were able to share their lived experiences, lessons learned, and the moments that marked their journey during this immersion month.
This was a highlight that showcased their involvement, creativity, ability to work together, and the progress made throughout the activities.
An experience marking the beginning of a new adventure
Beyond the proposed activities, Octobre Fondateur carries a broader ambition: to help new students understand that university life is not limited to classroom teaching.
It is also built through encounters, initiatives, responsibilities, student association engagement, and collective experiences.
This edition thus comes to a close on a note of sharing and conviviality, with students now better familiarized with their environment and the values of their institution.
