Our Alumni shine around the world | Alumni of the month – Alioune Badara LO General Services Manager at Peace Corps Senegal

Alioune Badara LO joined Groupe Supdeco Dakar in 2006 where he obtained his Master’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management in 2010.

His professional career began in January 2009 as an administrative assistant at Cheikh Anta Diop University where he was in charge of managing the activities of the bookshop until January 2010… In April 2011, he became logistics coordinator at Plantations de Djibanar SA. Based in Dakar, he is responsible for preparing and supervising organic banana shipments, organising requirements management, managing the cardboard stock and supervising the warehouse and local sales.

In January 2012, he was appointed Head of General Services and Logistics at IFAN at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. He was responsible for organizing and supervising fleet drivers and managing real property.

He joined IntraHealth International in May 2012 as a logistics officer in Dakar. He was responsible for planning, coordinating and organising the use of the fleet while ensuring maximum availability and controlled management of operating costs. He handles all visa applications and visitor reception formalities, in strict compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations and the implementation of audit recommendations.

He became Administration Manager in June 2017, in the same structure.

Since March 2019, he has been General Services Manager at Peace Corps. He is responsible for maintaining and improving effective and efficient operations within the Agency in the following areas: Property Management; Facilities Management; Procurement Management; Warehouse Management; Vehicle Management and Maintenance; Management of all incoming and outgoing shipments; Volunteer Support and General Administrative Requirements, including General Service Personnel Management and Relationships with suppliers.
