Launch of 2nd cohort Bachelor in Alternance Commerce and Large Distribution – Training 100% funded by Auchan

A solid training course completely free of charge in a major business school, resulting in a guaranteed job at one of the best in the retail sector.

The official launch ceremony of the 2nd cohort of the Bachelor in Alternance Commerce & Large Distribution, the result of the strategic partnership between Auchan Retail Senegal and the Supdeco Dakar Group, took place on Friday 26 May 2023 at the Radisson Blu, whose large ceremonial hall refused to welcome the world.

Launched in 2018, this programme, entirely financed by Auchan, aims to train students in the professions of the large retail sector while putting these skills into practice at Auchan (the alternance programme) over a period of one year. Adja Fall, Director of HR Development at Auchan Senegal, comments on the merits of this project: “Today, we realized that in some of our businesses, whether in support services, in stores or in warehouses, there was a great need for professionalization. The idea was really to get the theory part with a renowned school that offers these young people quality training and we can rely on their expertise thanks to their experience.”

Present at the ceremony, the Deputy Director of the Supdeco Group praised the collaboration with Auchan: “As a great school, our mission is to train for the company. In this respect, having a partner like Auchan who invests so much in its staff and supports them, it is a pleasure to work with them.”

The courses provided by Supdeco are intended for 20 selected students who will subsequently integrate the various departments of the distributor’s subsidiary, established in Senegal since 2014.
