December 13, 2023 marked the kick-off of a memorable literary return organized by the Supdeco Dakar Reading Club. Under the theme “Power of Words: Context, Choice, Impact”, the event welcomed prestigious guests, including Colonel Moumar Gueye, writer Fatimata Diallo Ba, and journalist Pape Alioune Sarr.
The panel, led by these influential figures, explored the multiple dimensions of the power of words in our modern society. From Colonel Gueye, bringing a unique perspective from his military experience, to Fatimata Diallo Ba, revealing the narrative power of his writings, to Pope Alioune Sarr, deciphering the impact of words in journalism, each speaker enriched the discussion.
The varied activities added a vibrant dynamic to the literary day. Poetry performances captivated the audience, while slam sessions injected poignant energy into the atmosphere.
A special mention was given to the “Student of the Month”, honouring the talent and commitment of an outstanding student in the field of literature.
