On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Groupe Supdeco Dakar organized an exceptional exchange day at the Amphi Faidherbe entitled “Finance Inside – Decoding Finance Careers.”
Bringing together undergraduate Management students, finance professionals, and alumni, this initiative created a true space for dialogue around the realities, transformations, and opportunities offered by careers in finance.
In an environment marked by the digitalization of financial services, the rapid growth of fintechs, and the constant evolution of regulatory requirements, this event fully reflected the commitment of Groupe Supdeco Dakar to bridging academic learning with real-world professional experience.
Coordinated by Dr Mouhamadou Dia, Head of the Finance program, the event aimed to help students better understand the skills, responsibilities, and career prospects related to various finance professions. Through accessible, interactive, and inspiring discussions, participants discovered real-life career paths and gained a clearer vision of their professional future.
The morning featured two thematic panel discussions bringing together experts from various financial institutions and organizations.
The first panel, dedicated to banking and fintech careers under the theme “Financing, Analyzing, and Supporting,” featured Ndeye Sokhna Ndiaye, Corporate Banking Analyst at Top Banque Outarde, and Ndickou Diop Sagna, Head of Internal Services and Cash Operations at BHS Sénégal.
Through their presentations, the panelists shared practical field experience by discussing financial analysis, risk management, corporate financing, and the evolution of banking professions in response to technological innovations. Students were thus able to better understand the strategic role financial institutions play in economic development.
The second panel, entitled “Accounting, Controlling, and Securing,” focused on careers in accounting, auditing, and control. It brought together El Hadji Samba Mbaye, Administrative and Financial Director of Agence Sénégalaise de la Propriété Industrielle et de l’Innovation Technologique (ASPIT), Thierno Ameth Diallo, Financial Director of Social Change Factory, and Mamadou Gueye, Auditor at DG Initial Consulting Services.
The speakers highlighted the strategic importance of financial functions within organizations, particularly in decision-making, performance management, and operational security. They also emphasized the qualities currently sought after in future finance professionals: rigor, analytical skills, digital proficiency, and adaptability.
Through this initiative, Supdeco Dakar once again confirms its commitment to training competent professionals who are connected to the realities of the professional world and prepared for the challenges of a rapidly transforming financial sector.
With Finance Inside, our students benefited from an enriching immersion into the heart of finance careers, enabling them to better understand the sector’s challenges and the many opportunities it offers for building their professional future.
