Executive MBA – Learning Trip in Nantes: An Enriching Experience for EMBA Audencia Senegal

As part of the privileged partnership between Groupe Supdeco Dakar and Audencia Business School (France), auditors of the Executive MBA program Audencia from Senegal participated in a memorable educational stay in Nantes, France, from 14 to 18 October 2024. Joined by their counterparts from Algiers, they took part in the Learning Trip, an essential and compulsory component of their EMBA curriculum, designed to enrich their professional and personal experience.

Start of Activities: Monday, October 14, 2024

The adventure began with a warm welcome at the Audencia campus, orchestrated by Mr. Redouane Elamrani, Director of MBA Programs. An inspiring lecture, moderated by Mr. Mattyas Schegerin, Audencia alumni, introduced participants to the challenges of digital transformation and sustainability. The day was marked by interactive exchanges and a tour of the Jules Verne Manufacturing Academy, a pioneer in Industry 4.0, with facilities for advanced robotics, digital simulation and additive manufacturing.

Exploration and Networking: Tuesday, October 15, 2024

Participants explored the historic heart of Nantes using a map to spot various monuments and cultural sites, an immersion in the local heritage. A visit to Maisons du Monde then allowed them to discover a major French furniture and decoration brand. The day ended with an alumni evening, a valuable opportunity to strengthen links within Audencia’s extensive EMBA network, fostering group spirit and understanding among the audience.

Learning from the Local Industry: Wednesday, October 16, 2024

The third day included a visit to the Beillevaire cheese factory, a company run by Maxime Bozec, an Audencia alumni and entrepreneur. The exchanges allowed the listeners to understand the challenges and successes of a traditional sector. In the afternoon, a conference on digital transformation and environmental responsibility, moderated by another alumnus, Mr. Mathieu Saunier, encouraged the EMBAs to reflect on contemporary sustainability issues in business.

Cultural Diversity and Business Skills: Thursday, October 17, 2024

Under the leadership of Ms. Cathy Masson, a session dedicated to interculturality allowed participants to deepen their intercultural communication and management skills. Creative workshops and group work fostered reflection and innovation, creating a positive dynamic within the group. The day continued with a visit from Baker Tilly, a renowned accounting firm in Nantes.

Closing and Outlook: Friday, October 18, 2024

For the final day of the Learning Trip, the EMBAs visited Crédit Agricole, an experience that concluded this intensive week of learning. These five days offered participants a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of professional environments, while developing a strong international network and gaining valuable perspective on today’s global challenges.
