As part of our educational program “Alumni Voices”, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming three of our alumni authors for an exceptional meeting with our students. This initiative highlighted inspiring journeys and success stories deeply rooted in African identity.
Our guests — Ndèye Fatou Ndiaye, Ivan G. Mboumba, and Ousseynou Aw — shared their experiences and reflections on powerful themes: African values, the search for meaning, commitment to the continent, and responsible ambition. The event demonstrated that writing can be a powerful vehicle for inspiration and knowledge transmission.
Ndèye Fatou Ndiaye, author of La Concession and Dans les chaînes du silence, captivated the audience with her literary world blending sensitivity, social observation, and an exploration of human relationships. Her stories invite readers to reflect on their role in society and the importance of values in shaping life choices.
Ivan G. Mboumba, author of Oser rêver de réussite en Afrique and Le droit social sénégalais, shared his experience as an entrepreneur and legal expert, emphasizing the importance of nurturing ambition while mastering the professional and social frameworks that support success on the continent.
Ousseynou Aw, through his essay Les paroles de Gorgui, offered a thought-provoking reflection on individual and collective responsibility. His contribution encouraged our students to actively engage in Africa’s development and to become agents of change in their respective fields.
The discussion, moderated by journalist Pape Alioune Sarr, featured open and authentic exchanges with our students. These conversations provided an opportunity for questions, practical advice, and fresh ideas to enrich their academic and professional journeys.
We warmly thank our guests — Ndèye Fatou Ndiaye, Ivan G. Mboumba, and Ousseynou Aw — as well as our moderator Pape Alioune Sarr, for their availability, commitment, and the richness of the discussions shared with our students.
Their contribution made this event a memorable and inspiring moment, fully aligned with our mission: supporting African youth on their path toward excellence and engagement.
