An alumnus of the Supdeco Dakar Group, Mr. Ibrahima Ba has built a rich and progressive academic career, demonstrating from an early stage a strong interest in management, marketing, and organizational leadership. He successively obtained a Certificate in Finance and Accounting (1987–1988), a Certificate in Marketing and Commercial Management (1988–1989), a Higher Diploma in Management (1990–1991), and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Commercial Management – Postgraduate Level (1993–1995). This comprehensive education enabled him to acquire a global vision of the company, combining financial rigor, commercial performance, and managerial leadership.
His professional integration began as early as 1988, marking the starting point of an exemplary career within major organizations, where he gradually advanced to positions of increasing responsibility. From 1988 to 2005, Ibrahima Ba successively held several key roles in both financial and commercial departments: Accounting Officer, Administrative Officer, Sales Officer, Section Head, Unit Head, before moving into strategic roles such as Head of Operational Marketing, Promotion and Communication, and then Acting Head of the Operational Marketing Department. This first phase of his career enabled him to develop solid expertise in financial management, administrative organization, and the steering of marketing activities.
From 2005 to 2021, his career experienced a notable rise in responsibility. He successively held cross-functional strategic positions: Head of the Quality Management Service, Head of the Partnership Monitoring Unit, Head of the Partnerships and Sales of Other Products Service, Head of the Partnerships and Audiovisual Services Unit, and then Head of the Broadcast Management and Audiovisual Services Unit. He was subsequently appointed Head of the Marketing Department, Head of the Recovery Department, Head of the General Administration Department, before serving as Coordinator of Services within the Administrative and Financial Directorate (AFD). In these roles, he led performance, quality, partnership management, and general administration with a structured and results-oriented approach.
Between 2021 and 2022, Ibrahima Ba put his expertise at the service of governance as Technical Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of TDS S.A., providing strategic support on issues related to management, organization, and performance.
Since 2022, he has held the position of Director of Human Capital at APIX.SA, where he leads the human resources management strategy, skills development, individual and collective performance, as well as change management within the institution. In this role, he plays a key part in positioning human capital as a lever for performance and sustainable development.
Alongside his professional duties, Ibrahima Ba has conducted several studies and reflections, particularly in the areas of commercial leadership, quality management, performance management, audiovisual production management (television, radio, and cinema), and human resources management, reflecting his constant commitment to improving managerial practices.
Today, Mr. Ba fully embodies the values upheld by Supdeco Dakar: excellence, commitment, rigor, and leadership. His rich, structured, and inspiring career serves as a model for students and young graduates, illustrating the power of solid training combined with a career built on consistency and adaptability.
