Louis-Cédric DA-GRAÇA OKILI built his academic background at Groupe Supdeco Dakar, where he progressively specialized in banking, finance, auditing and management control. He first obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Insurance, specializing in Banking & Insurance, from 2005 to 2008, before pursuing his studies with a Master’s Degree (Master 2) in Audit & Management Control, completed between 2008 and 2010. This dual academic background enabled him to develop a strong understanding of banking, finance and control fundamentals, while building the analytical skills required for a career in the banking sector.
Following his studies, Louis-Cédric naturally pursued a career in banking, where he progressively developed expertise in risk management, internal control, auditing and performance management.
His professional career began at AFG Bank Gabon, where he progressed through several positions, allowing him to develop a comprehensive understanding of banking activities. He started as a Risk Analyst, developing his skills in identifying, analyzing and assessing risks associated with banking operations.
He subsequently worked as an Accounting Controller, before taking on the role of Management Controller. These experiences enabled him to strengthen his expertise in financial monitoring, performance analysis and operational control, while developing a deeper understanding of the management challenges faced by a banking institution.
Driven by a desire to continuously develop his expertise, Louis-Cédric then progressed to the position of Senior Permanent Controller. In this role, he contributed to strengthening the internal control framework, managing risks and ensuring compliance with applicable procedures and standards. This experience allowed him to broaden his understanding of governance and control mechanisms within the banking sector.
His career took on a new dimension when he joined the internal audit team as a Senior Internal Auditor. In this role, he takes part in various audit assignments and evaluates internal control and risk management systems. He contributes to identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of the organization’s processes.
Building on this experience, Louis-Cédric also took on responsibilities as an Engagement Manager and served as Acting Head of Internal Audit, demonstrating the confidence placed in his expertise, rigor and management capabilities.
Alongside his professional experience, he has continued to develop his skills through various training programs and certifications in banking management and risk management, further strengthening an expertise built over the years.
Today, Louis-Cédric DA-GRAÇA OKILI serves as Senior Internal Auditor and Engagement Manager at AFG Bank Gabon. His career reflects a professional journey built step by step, from his early experience in risk analysis to significant responsibilities in internal audit, internal control and risk management.
