The Supdeco Business Incubator (SBI) organized a new edition of the SBI TALK, its signature platform for exchange, experience sharing, and inspiration centered around entrepreneurship, innovation, and the development of entrepreneurial skills.
This edition focused on a strategic theme for the economic development of Senegal and the African continent: “Agribusiness: Challenges, Opportunities, Pathways to Action, and Levers of Success.”
For the occasion, participants had the honor of welcoming Alioune Abi Talib Beye, CEO of Ali Agro Tropical and a Supdeco Dakar Alumnus. As a committed entrepreneur and recognized player in the agrifood sector, he shared insights into his entrepreneurial journey, the challenges encountered on the ground, and the current opportunities in African agribusiness.
During his speech, Mr. Beye highlighted numerous value-creation levers within the agricultural and agrifood sectors while sharing practical lessons from his own experience. He notably emphasized the importance of innovation, local processing, mastering value chains, and entrepreneurial resilience to succeed in a constantly evolving environment.
The discussions allowed students, young entrepreneurs, project leaders, and innovation enthusiasts to better understand the realities of the sector and identify action steps to develop their own entrepreneurial initiatives. This meeting was also an opportunity to raise awareness about the support systems offered by the Supdeco Business Incubator to foster the emergence and growth of innovative projects.
The event was hosted and moderated by Sinna Gaye, an entrepreneurship expert and coordinator of activities at the Supdeco Business Incubator, who successfully facilitated rich and interactive discussions between the guest and the participants.
