Les Mardis de l’Entreprise – SET :A deep dive into African HealthTech

The School of Engineering and Technology (SET) of the Supdeco Dakar Group organized, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, a new edition of the “Mardis de l’Entreprise,” a key event promoting exchanges between the academic world and professional actors.

This session highlighted a rapidly evolving sector: HealthTech, under the theme “HealthTech: Towards Intelligent and Interoperable Healthcare Ecosystems in Africa.”

A meeting with an innovative HealthTech player

For this edition, students had the privilege of welcoming Eyone Medical, a company recognized for its commitment to the digital transformation of healthcare systems in Africa.

Two representatives from the company led the discussions:

  • John-Paul Diatt, Co-founder of Eyone Medical
  • Max-Morrys Eyoum, Digital Marketing Manager

Through their presentations, they shared their experience, the challenges encountered in deploying digital health solutions, as well as the opportunities offered by technological innovation to improve access to healthcare across the continent.

The discussions highlighted several key issues:

  • the importance of interoperability in healthcare systems
  • the role of data in improving patient care pathways
  • the impact of digital technologies on the efficiency of healthcare services

Our speakers also emphasized the need to build collaborative ecosystems involving startups, public institutions, and healthcare professionals.
