The event took place on <strong>Friday, December 5, 2025<\/strong>, at the <strong>Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Dakar<\/strong>, in the presence of senior diplomatic authorities, experts, students, and institutional representatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A High-Level Panel for a Strategic Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the theme <strong>\u201c25 Years of the EU\u2013AU Partnership: Achievements and Perspectives\u201d<\/strong>, the conference was moderated by <strong>His Excellency Babacar San\u00e9 B\u00e2<\/strong>, Ambassador and Professor at Supdeco, whose expertise provided a precise and dynamic analytical framework for the discussions.<\/p>\n<p>The opening remarks were delivered by <strong>Mr. Abdoul Aziz Sy<\/strong>, CEO of Supdeco Group, who emphasized the importance for students to understand contemporary geopolitical issues, particularly those shaping the relations between Europe and Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distinguished Contributions from Diplomats and Academics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The panel brought together high-level speakers to share their insights on the evolution of the EU\u2013AU partnership:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>His Excellency Mr. Jean-Marc Pisani<\/strong>, Ambassador of the European Union to Senegal, highlighted the major achievements of the partnership over the past two decades while pointing out the challenges ahead to build a more balanced cooperation focused on innovation, energy transition, youth employment, and regional stability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>His Excellency Mr. Ad\u00e3o Pinto<\/strong>, Ambassador of Angola to Senegal, provided an in-depth perspective on Africa\u2019s growing role in global geostrategic dynamics and emphasized the need to strengthen dialogue mechanisms and co-development initiatives between the two continents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mr. Amadou Diop<\/strong>, former Senegalese Ambassador to the European Union and Professor at Supdeco, traced the legal, economic, and political evolution of the EU\u2013AU partnership, highlighting diplomatic achievements and areas for improvement to foster a more inclusive cooperation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Government of Senegal was also represented, underlining the national importance of this multilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strong Participation from African Diplomatic Missions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The conference welcomed ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from several countries, including <strong>Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Angola, Cameroon, Morocco, Algeria, and Libya<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This diplomatic diversity enriched the discussions and strengthened the pan-African dimension of the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Engaged and Outstanding Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the event was the <strong>questions-and-answers session<\/strong>, during which Supdeco students stood out. Through <strong>relevant, technical, and strategic questions<\/strong>, they demonstrated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a deep understanding of international issues,<\/li>\n<li>critical analysis skills,<\/li>\n<li>mastery of contemporary challenges related to governance, security, economics, migration, energy, and Africa\u2019s strategic autonomy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Their excellent contributions were praised by all the diplomats present, reflecting the <strong>academic excellence and intellectual rigor<\/strong>\u00a0that characterize Supdeco\u2019s training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Renewed Commitment to Training Global Leaders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through this exceptional edition of <em>Supdeco Fridays<\/em>, <strong>Supdeco Dakar<\/strong>\u00a0reaffirms its ambition to educate leaders capable of understanding, analyzing, and influencing global issues.
